The Notebook

For the last few days I have done pretty much nothing but write. This creative patch has also led me to go through my old notebooks in which I used to scribble lyrics or grand master plans. As it turns out most of those plans weren’t as grand as I had initially thought.

I did however find this passage from a spoken part in a song we used to do

….it meant an awful lot to me and I was unsure about putting it down. Anyway the song unfortunately is on the sideline at the moment…it may make a re-appearance one day..Who knows

ps sorry for the terrible handwriting, it reads:

But in these lost times when dashings of hope are lost

I stare at the wall and the moss

I find solice in thinking I was the better one and I only ever learnt from your mistakes

But your loneliness was imminent as was the self constructed lair of happiness

We all visited but none of us could stay.

Your mind worked wonders but your body not so much

The logic that failed the last breath that got away

And even in that final second he never changed

Far too proud to clench her hand or say her name

But nothing ever changes fate

But nothing ever changes fate

But nothing ever changes fate
