WE THE COMMITTEE

Everything on this page at some point in some way meant something. Enjoy

End Of The Road

Everyday for the last week, at some point I’ve found myself staring at my computer screen trying to write this blog. Last weekend I was lucky enough to go to End Of The Road festival. It was one of the greatest weekends of my life. I tried to write a day by day account of my time there, but it didn’t come across right. I guess for me its impossible to put into words something that was so emotionally overwhelming. The music was great, the setting exceptional, but the company was what did it for me. I was together with people that as a group we haven’t been together for about 4 years. The excitement of being together again meant we probably went a little overboard. Our bodies were hit hard for four days and writing this one week on I just about feel normal again, saying that I wouldn’t have changed a thing.

Musically, my personal highlights were Josh T Pearson, Mogwai, Beirut, Lykke Li, Lanterns On The Lake, Dry The River, Phosphorescent and Joanna Newsom.

Festival season has pretty much reached its end for this year, but next year please go to End Of The Road. It supersedes expectations ten fold.

Since being back in London every now and again I find myself feeling incredibly emotional, I have no real idea why. My friends assure me they’ve been the same.

Maybe one day I will bring myself to write a full account of our time there. Whether I do or not, I will never forget that weekend.

Thank you
